Things that are empty:
- Baseball stadiums (this year)
- Broken hearts
- Deciduous tree limbs in December
- The moral bank account of big corporations
- Schools in summertime
- Zero
- My parents' house (even they are no longer there)
- Complaints about the generosity of Santa Claus
- 90% of what appears on commercial TV (my own non scientific study)
- Beaches (these days)
- A person without passion
- A person without compassion

- Closed minds
- Loneliness
- Trash cans on my street on Tuesday afternoons
- They say space is empty but it's not
- The calories in an Oreo cookie
- Politicians' promises

- Flat tires (okay, there is still some air but it's not enough)
- Oskar's gas tank right now
- Parents' energy reserves after eight weeks of SIP
- Broadway (now)
